DIXON ON THE ISSUES FACING BATON ROUGE AND LOUISIANA
INFRASTRUCTURE AND TRAFFIC
The poor state of our infrastructure and traffic have been problems for far too long. Dixon believes in continuing to fund local infrastructure upkeep as well as offering unique and creative solutions to keep us moving in and out of District 68.
EDUCATION
Dixon believes we need to equip our students with the resources necessary for a better education. This involves increasing technology in classrooms, providing school choice for all students, and creating education savings accounts to allow parents to prioritize their children’s future for themselves.
GOVERNMENTAL REFORM
Dixon believes the government should be kept out of the way of citizens and small business owners. Eliminating red tape must be a top priority for state legislators and the executive branch.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Dixon believes criminals should be held accountable for their crimes. Punishment should be fair but firm to deter others from following suit.
2ND AMENDMENT
Dixon believes in and will always support the right of the people of Louisiana to keep and bear arms.
INSURANCE AND TORT REFORM
Dixon believes we should continue to pursue measures to bring down the cost of insurance for our drivers and homeowners. Policies must be aimed at increasing competition in the marketplace and ensuring broad coverage options for people in all parts of the state.
PRO-LIFE
Dixon is a lifelong Catholic and pro-life defender of the unborn.
